Atlantic Productions leads a group of companies which make television programmes, theatrical and IMAX films, apps, visual effects and now, immersive virtual reality experiences.  Since the company was founded in 1992 Atlantic has built a reputation for world-class story-telling, enhanced by the latest techniques and technologies, including the building of pioneering cross-platform and digital experiences.  Atlantic is a leader in 4K and 3D productions.

Atlantic has won many of the most prestigious awards in television, including the coveted BAFTA award for Best Specialist Factual twice in the last four years (2014 & 2011), ten Emmy awards, two RTS awards, the Best 3D awards at Jackson Hole and Wildscreen and recently the Hollywood Studios awarded Atlantic the Charles Wheatstone Award for Outstanding Contribution for Work in 3D.

Their diverse output includes history, science, natural history, current affairs, observational, music and arts and drama.  Their films are regularly seen in over 100 countries.

Recent productions include INSIDE THE COMMONS (BBC), the archaeological series TIME SCANNERS (NAT GEO / PBS), DAVID ATTENBOROUGH MEETS PRESIDENT OBAMA (BBC/ABC) and GREAT BARRIER REEF WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH (BBC).

Alchemy VR is producing pioneering virtual reality experiences, including the award winning museum experiences First Life and Great Barrier Reef Dive, and soon to be released pyramids VR and human body VR.

Distribution Rights

Beyond broadcast, many of Atlantic’s programmes have been distributed on DVD as well as being licensed elsewhere, such as for educational use and on in-flight entertainment systems. Atlantic also has an extensive library of still images. We welcome new opportunities for our programmes to be seen on a variety of media platforms.

 

Since Atlantic was established in 1992, the company has built up a library of film footage and stills that is available for license for other uses. Atlantic’s archive contains extensive footage filmed in many parts of the world including: Egypt, Greece, Italy, The Holy Land, North America, South America, Europe, Japan
